What is the difference between the two interfaces of the Android data cable?

Most Android phones today use the Type-C port.

Type-C is a new interface that has the advantage of not having a positive or negative distinction. There are no insertion errors.

And the Type-C interface also supports fast charging, which can charge up to 100W. Compatible with USB3.0, its bandwidth can reach 5 Gbps. On video, it maxes out at 4K.

So Type-C is not just a simple plug-in, it also provides more charging, data, video and other functions.

The other is the old Micro-B

Such an interface, whether for charging or transmission, has much lower bandwidth than USB2.0.

This kind of interface is almost non-existent on the market, and only appears on some low-end mobile phones. Other headphones, smart speakers, and bracelets will all have Micro-B interfaces. Since such a device does not require fast charging, neither does it require high-speed data access.

Eventually, USB Type-C is also widely used in notebooks and tablets. And there are rumors that the next two iPhones will use Type-C.
