What are the assembly steps of the cable

When manufacturing coaxial cables, it must be ensured that the types of coaxial cables and connectors are compatible with each other. In some cases, the RF coaxial cable and some RF coaxial connectors can be connected to each other, but others cannot be compatible with each other due to size and tolerance deviation. In some cases, RF is similar to coaxial cable, but its internal conductive material and insulating material are different, such as biaxial cable.

The assembly steps are as follows:

1) Select appropriate coaxial cable and plug;

2) Ensure that all coaxial connector parts are ready;

3) Cut the coaxial cable into the required length;

4) Install the heat shrink tube, metal ring, washer and / or nut on the coaxial cable according to the actual needs;

5) According to the technical requirements of cables and coaxial connectors, the coaxial cables shall be properly processed. In particular, the outer sheath and inner insulation shall be cut off to a proper length, and the outer cover and armor layer shall be stripped from the central conductor;

6) The central conductor of the coaxial cable and the central pin of the coaxial connector are fabricated and assembled by pressing connection, welding, press fitting, crimping or other methods;

7) The protective layer (external conductor) of the coaxial cable and the coaxial connector housing are prepared and assembled by pressing connection, welding, winding and other methods or other methods. The operation may include: after the connector body and the coaxial cable are assembled, the ferrule or crimping ring is placed around the coaxial cable or the connector;

8) Adopt fastening, press fitting or other methods, as well as appropriate sealing gaskets or materials to ensure that the coaxial connector housing has been properly inserted into the coaxial cable;

9) Use heat shrink tubing or other mechanical stress relief equipment for connecting or assembling coaxial connectors.
